About Thai Braille
Thai braille is an abugida-style system. A key feature is that vowels are always written after the consonant in braille, even when they appear before, above or below it in print. Tone class is signalled by the choice of cell.
Our translator moves pre-posed vowels after their consonant automatically, but complex tone and homograph rules are approximated — Thai support is in beta.
