About Arabic Braille
Arabic braille is used across the Arabic-speaking world. Although printed Arabic runs right-to-left, Arabic braille is written and read left-to-right. Each consonant maps to a cell, with many cells echoing the phonetically similar Latin letter.
Short vowels (harakat) are diacritics that are usually omitted, just as in everyday printed Arabic. Numbers use the standard number sign.
