About Japanese Braille
Japanese braille, called tenji, encodes morae rather than letters — hiragana and katakana share the same cells. Voiced sounds (dakuten), the p-sound (handakuten) and contracted sounds (youon) are written with prefix cells before the base kana.
Type in kana. Voicing and youon are handled automatically, but some contextual rules are approximated, so Japanese support is in beta.
